Anisa is an environmental law and sustainability specialist with a focus on ESG, climate governance, mining and regulatory advisory across East Africa. She leads D&M’s ESG and sustainability practice, advising organisations on CSR strategy, climate resilience, sustainability policy development, carbon markets, environmental governance and regulatory compliance. Within the mining sector, Anisa focuses on environmental legal requirements, impact assessment, permitting, stakeholder engagement and the implementation of environmental management obligations. She supports clients in translating complex environmental and regulatory frameworks into practical strategies that promote responsible investment, sustainable growth and long-term impact.

Patricia Aika Matthyse
Specialising in corporate and commercial law across East Africa, Patricia spearheads D&M’s Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance and Legal Advisory practice. She supports clients in developing governance frameworks, compliance programmes, data protection and privacy systems, internal policies, commercial contracts and institutional risk-management structures. Her mining work focuses on the corporate and commercial architecture of projects, including joint ventures, project agreements, contractual risk allocation, governance and CSR commitments. Patricia also brings maritime-law expertise to maritime operations, trade, logistics and blue-economy activities. Her multidisciplinary approach combines legal excellence with strategic governance and ESG advisory, enabling organisations to navigate complex regulatory environments, strengthen corporate resilience and achieve sustainable long-term growth.
